Paksat-1R, also known as Pakistan Communication Satellite-1R, is a geostationary communication satellite operated by the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). Here's some information about the satellite:

  1. Launch: Paksat-1R was launched on August 11, 2011, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China. It was launched aboard a Long March 3B/E carrier rocket. 
  2.  Operator: The satellite is operated by SUPARCO, which is the national space agency of Pakistan responsible for the country's space program. 
  3.  Location: Paksat-1R is positioned in geostationary orbit at a longitude of 38 degrees East. It is stationed approximately 36,000 kilometers above the Earth's equator. 
  4.  Purpose: The primary purpose of Paksat-1R is to provide communication and broadcasting services. It serves as Pakistan's premier communications satellite, offering a range of services including direct-to-home (DTH) television broadcasting, broadband connectivity, data communication, and telecommunication services. 
  5.  Coverage Area: The satellite provides coverage over South Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and parts of Africa. It covers a vast region, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and certain parts of the Middle East. 
  6.  Specifications: Paksat-1R is based on the DFH-4 satellite bus developed by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST). It has a launch mass of approximately 5,200 kilograms and is equipped with a payload of 30 C-band and 20 Ku-band transponders. 
  7.  Replacement: Paksat-1R is the successor to Paksat-1, which was launched in 1996. It replaced the older satellite to enhance the communication and broadcasting capabilities of Pakistan.
